The member organization consists of an executive Director, Senior Follows, Fellows, and Members.

The Executive Director is the founder of the Turnaround Management Society and is responsible for the daily business of the Turnaround Management Society.

The Senior Fellows are members who oversee the development of the International Turnaround Management Standards and have contributed in a significant way to the Turnaround Management Society.

Fellows are Members who have been elected to represent Member interests or have contributed in a significant way to the Turnaround Management Society.

Members are members of the Turnaround Management Society who contribute to the society as they are able or are simply interested in keeping up to date with industry developments.

Executive Director:

christoph lymbersky pictureDr. Christoph Lymbersky, BBus, MAcc, MBA, PRINCE2 Practitioner, CFMP, CITM – Level B has lived, worked and done research in Germany, France, Australia and the United States. He holds a Master of Accounting as well as a MBA from Bond University in Australia and is currently writing his PhD in Turnaround Mangement and distressed investing at the ESC-Lille in France.

He has worked for international companies such as IBM and Wal-Mart, has founded and co-founded different companies like COMODEX Internet, the IT – Management Group and B2B Network. Christoph Lymbersky has written and published a variety of books in International Mangement and Finance. Currently, Mr. Lymbersky serves as the director of the Management Laboratory and is a member of the Council of Economic Advisors of Germany (Wirtschaftsrat) as well as the Strategic Management Society (SMS).

Prof. Christophe Bredillet

Professor Christophe Bredillet, CPD — Level A IPMA, CCE, PgD in Project Management, MBA, ESC Lille, has been the program director of the International programs MSc. in Project and Program Management, MSc. in Supply Chain Management, and the MBA for the past 12 years. He is strongly involved in PM Professional Associations.

Alan Harpham is the Chairman of the APM Group, a consultancy specialising in the accreditation of practitioners, trainers and consultants in PRINCE 2 and Managing Successful Programmes. He is an independent management consultant and director of “P5 The Power of Projects” focusing on programme management, project management and executive coaching.
Alan has experience as a manager and sponsor of programmes and projects. Particularly new business start-ups.

Carsten Ovens, Dipl.-Kfm., MIB

Carsten Ovens is working as a Value Engineer with SAP Value Engineering DACH. With a strong background in benchmarking, Value Management, and Value Realization he supports clients in optimizing their business strategy and aligning the IT to business needs. Carsten has lived, studied, and worked in Australia, Germany and the United Arab Emirates. He has studied Business Administration at the University of Hamburg, researching brand management strategies and country-of-origin effects. Additionally, he holds a master’s degree in International Business from Macquarie University, Sydney.

has collected various industry experience as a consultant to a major consulting firm and now works for a German consumer goods company. He advises the Turnaround Management Society in controlling, project management and industry specific questions.

Stephen Warrilow is based in Bristol, works with companies across the UK providing specialist support to directors delivering significant change initiatives. 100+ companies in mid range corporate, larger SME and corporate environments have benefited from his 25 years cross sector experience. Mr. Warrilow is the Strategic Management Society’s chosen change management expert. He is writing valuable articles and is consulting the TMS.

Viktor Becher pictureViktor Becher, Magister Atrium, PhD Candidate

Viktor Becher is currently working on the project “Covert Translation” funded by the German Research Foundation and located at the Special Research Center on Multilingualism of the University of Hamburg.

Mr. Becher’s current work centers on translation and translatability as well as constrastive linguistics. He has presented his work at a number of academic conferences all around the world. His publications, are appearing in various international journals on general linguistics and translation studies. He is also the Management Laboratory lecturer for different classes on evaluating and reading company reports.

Olivier Smadja, M.S., MBA

Olivier Smadja is a managing partner at the Placei Group. He has obtained a Master in Chemical Engineering and an MBA from the University of California at Irvine. For the past 15 years, Oliver Smadja has managed, developed, and restructured manufacturing companies in Eastern/Western Europe, and in the U.S.

Loic Mirieu de Labarre, M.E., M.A.

Loic Mirieu de Labarre is an Assistant Professor at Bordeau University. He received a  Master in Corporate Development and a Master in Political Science.

At Nestlé Waters he was responsible for quality control and logistics. Loic Mirieu de Labarre has also managed three manufacturing companies before starting his own consulting boutique in 1998. He is a now specialist in foreign outsourcing, from China in particular.

Georges Jacob, M.S.

George Jacob is an expert in international commerce, and has over 20 years experience in manageing, developing and restructuring sizable manufacturing companies with a high percentage of sales outside of their home-markets.

He has also set up and developed a dozen industrial plants in Eastern Europe and Latin America to penetrate niche markets.

Pierre Frécon, M.S., MBA

Pierre Frécon holds a master in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA from INSEAD.

Pierre is an expert in manufacturing excellence (Six-Sigma black belt). Before creating his own company, Obipar, he spent 5 years working in key operational roles at the Shell Group, both in France and in the U.S..

Bino Bach

Mr. Bach is general manager at Commundo Tagungshotels and has acquired substantial knowledge in marketing and customer services. His advice and knowledge have been a great contribution to different projects of the Turnaround Management Society.

Herman is a marketing and sales process optimization specialist and is consulting the Turnaround Management Society in these areas. He has worked for different consulting companies such as the Management Laboratory and is currently a partner at Vengun & Partner.

Marion Benazzouz, M.A., M.Com., PRINCE2

Marion Benazzouz received a Master in Business from ISTEC Universiy in France and a Master of Communication from Bond University in Australia. She is a certified project manager and a specialist in the marketing and advertising field of the luxury industry.

Marion has done extensive research in her area and is contributing relevant parts of it to the Turnaround Management Society.

Sabine Klug has received a Master of Arts in Business from the University of San Diego, California. She has worked for big international consulting companies such as Accenture and IBM working on IT work flow process optimization.

Harald Lock has studied at the Hanseatische Verwaltungs- und Wirtschafts Akademie in Hamburg. He is a certified organizational specialist by the Chamber of Commerce in Hamburg, Germany and a Certified International Turnaround Manager (CFMP) – Level B.

Harald is a logistics specialist working for a major logistics company in Germany.

John M. Collard, CTP, CITM – Level D

John M. Collard is a Certified International Turnaround Manager – Level D, who brings 35 years senior operating leadership, $85M asset recovery, 40+ transactions worth $780M+, and $80M fund management expertise to run troubled companies, and advise company boards, litigators, institutional and private equity investors.  John has on many occasions parachuted in as the CEO or senior executive to turn around a trouble entity.  John is Past Chairman of the Turnaround Management Association (TMA).  John was inducted into the Turnaround Management, Restructuring, and Distressed Investing Industry Hall of Fame, honoring those individuals whose outstanding contributions have increased the stature and respect of our industry.

Torben Rick

Torben Rick is an experienced senior executive, both at a strategic and operational level, with strong track record in developing, driving and managing business improvement and development, change management and turn-around.

Extensive experience within operations: Customer Service, business development and improvement, logistics and procurement, product management and development, sales and cross-functional business improvement. Mr. is a contibutes with regular articles on the Turnaround Management Website and in the Turnaround Management Journal.
